Leupold GX-1 Laser Golf Rangefinder Review
Looking for one of the smallest, lightweight, and tournament-ready golf laser rangefinders available? The Leupold GX-1 offers top-of-the-line features like PinHunter technology, Scan Mode, and Fog Mode and receives outstanding reviews from golfers.
Finding exact distances to the pin or other target areas has never been easier. The Leupold GX-1, like all rangefinders in the GX series, features Leupold's PinHunter and Prism Lock Technology to make it the most precise golf range finder available. To use Prism Lock, simply point the rangefinder at the pin. As soon as the GX-1 discovers the flag, the display will be frozen and the unit will give an audible beep to let you know the target has been locked. Works with all flags using refective prisms.
Brilliant and sharp optics are made available by making use of Leupold's ground breaking lens coating technology. All lenses are scratch resistant, protect against glare, and offers outstanding optical performance. Multi-coated optics with 6X magnification.
Most golfers, when they see fog, know to leave the rangefinder in the bag. Most rangefinders are not able to differentiate fog from solid objects, making results unpredictable and inaccurate. Not so with the Leupold GX-1 Rangefinder. The GX-1 Fog Mode allows the laser beam to slice through fog and other bad weather allowing for accurate ranges in all weather conditions.
When calculating distances on a golf hole, golfers often need more than just one measurement. With the Leupold GX-1's scan mode, you can instantly receive multiple distance readings with just a single sweep of the rangefinder over the hole or green. As you scan, the GX-1 will constantly give updated and accurate line of site measurements. And of course when you get to the green with a prism-top flag, Prism Lock will instantly lock in on the flag and give you a highly accurate distance estimate.
Simple, Fast, Accurate
A good rangefinder should not take 5 minutes to use everytime you need a distance reading. The GX-1 includes Leupold's Quick Set Menu, which gives instant access to the impressive features of the GX-1 Rangefinder. Accurate to within 1 yard.
Durable and Weatherproof
Leupold's rangefinders are well known for their longevity and durability. The GX-1 is constucted with a rugged outer-casing and waterproof body.
The Leupold GX-1 is approved for competitive and tournament play by the USGA.

Positive Customer Reviews / Comments
The Leupold is very easy to use. I haven't had any problem with hand shake, it gives accurate ratings almost every time so long as the target in in the middle of the screen. Solid build.
I just need a rangefinder that works, and the GX-1 is as good as it gets. I really find the pinseeker/pinhunter feature useful and use it all the time.
Extremely user-friendly. I've used a couple other rangefinders none come close to the speed of the GX1 in getting distances.
Negative Customer Comments
Good from 300 yards and closer, but anything further than that you will need a flag with reflective prism.
